Week one:

Yes! This is the first official blog entry on the Heartstone Odyssey: Making of blog. :D I'm very excited I can tell you!

Of course you could say that the first official post was last week, but because that was a welcome note I'm calling this the first one.

What has happened in the Heartstones: making of world this week then?

Well, quite a lot really. But at the same time, hardly anything at all! :P

I haven't been able to write a lot of the script, just because I'm physcially too tired. But I can say that I did manage to do a couple of pages and a lot of little scenes to go along with the story. At the moment all I tend to to be able to do is write in my notepad.

I'm currently studying very hard so that I can get into the university I want to go to. So the actual script writing of Heartstones is coming along slowly. But when I do manage to write it I really do it, and I love it so much.

A lot of this week (especially yesterday) I was debating over what should happen in the end for certain characters. I'm not saying who of course! or what happens! I'M NOT GONNA GIVE YOU ANY SPOILERS! But it's acually quite a hard decision, I want this comic to end dramatically and I know that it will do.

But I really can't decide which idea I should pick. Both Kathryn and I have got ideas for it, but its picking out those ideas that are really hard. And when it comes to writing those final lines (which granted are a few months off yet) I'm not sure I'm going to be able to choose.

Whatever happens, one of these little dramatic ideas in the notebook I carry everywhere will be used and it'll be right for the story. Both Kathryn and I have had to think really hard about what's right for the characters, just because we like it doesnt mean it's what should happen to the characters. And I think that's quite hard when writing something, because writers obviously enjoy writing it, but I sometimes wonder whether it'd be their first choice of happens for the characters. :P

Kathryns been doing a lot of sketches too! All of which I love and I know she's worried that people won''t like it. But I know that when she starts doing those first pages properly they will genuinley look fantastic, especially if she decides to do it in the way she wants to. :)

She's a fantastic artist and my best friend. I really couldn't imagine doing this any other way, it's nice to have a hand to hold when doubts start to flood you over your projects. Because there have been doubts. And there will be more to come I'm sure. :P That's kind of inevitable isn't it? I know that.

I don't think I'd want to do this if she wasn't here doing it with me because I think that it's going to be a fantastic adventure, for characters, creators and readers. :D

what more could I ask for?
